Configuring Exchange SMTP Gateways at Microsoft

Here is an article on how Microsoft configures their SMTP gateway services under E2K3.  Basically, they create at least two SMTP Virtual Servers on gateway servers so they can control the SMTP filtering on inbound, while unrestricting outbound.  It is not recommended to do this on mailbox servers however.
